Our work at the City of Saratoga is extensive. We were contacted in late 2013 to design an ADA sign program for the local government buildings and create a package that could be sent out for bidding. After a site visit, we presented the facilities department several design choices. Ultimately they chose the design you see here. It incorporates colors that they use throughout the buildings and the city crest. We used a variety of materials: painted acrylic, Rowmark, and digitally printed crests. Once the design was locked in, we combed through the floor plans to determine all ADA signs required to get the buildings up to code- which was about 300 signs.
Several bids were submitted, Bennett Graphics was awarded the contract. We were pleased as we had already put a lot of time into the project- we were excited to start fabricating the signs. Production time was about 4 weeks. The installation took place over 4 days in the summer of 2014. Government jobs like these are often prevailing wage. Bennett Graphics followed all of the pertinent regulations and completed all necessary paperwork. Once the job was complete, an official ADA inspector came out and signed off on the signs. The City of Saratoga was so pleased we have done numerous exterior signs for them and continue to have a great relationship.
